Cochin - Zamorin Wars (1755–56) were the skirmishes between the Kingdom of Cochin and the Zamorin of Calicut on the Malabar Coast, South India.[1] As the Dutch stopped their active support to Cochin in the time, the Zamorin stormed from the north, and occupied Kodungallur, Parur, Verappally, and Chetwai. This attacks coincided with attacks of Travancore from the south to Cochin. Later, as a result of a treaty between the Zamorin and the Dutch, the Chetwai fort was given back to the Dutch.[2]
